I don't care what these Haters say. Please Sign Enes Kanter. He is a very productive player. He does play defense contrary to popular belief.

I know the knock is that he is not a solid defensive player, then again, he actually played a complete season and didn't cost us 100 million dollars. So he's a find and can improve and actually has a positive impact. A solid player. Frankly I can't believe we got a return upon trading a "star" player. Usually we get back players like Travis Wear and Jose Calderon and only after we thrown in a No.1 pick with that star player. He should be back and with the right coach his defense should improve.

His numbers would be even higher if he had a real coach giving him starter minutes. His one-on-one defense may be needing refinemnt; however, rebounding is defense... and in a league where most of the game is outside the paint, Kanter is a difference maker.

Thanks for your services Enes and good luck with your new team. Knicks are rebuilding and don't need to overpay above average players that can not score except from a few feet away from basket. Solid player and teammate but not a future piece for the long haul.

Kanter is a keeper. If he opts in he's due 18 million, nobody else is gonna offer him more. He is terrible on the defensive side but that just means they need someone to have his back. You're not gonna get allstar players at every position. He plays hard every game and is averaging a double double.

Good player but when he opts out I don’t think we should give him a big contract. We already made a mistake giving Hardaway Jr. too much. Good player but his contract is too big.

He’s crazy if he doesn’t sign that one year $18 million option. Those huge long deals are a thing of the past.

Hope he stays, plays with heart regardless of team. Will be essential in creating a winning mentality for next season. Don't mess up the draft or free agency and we got playoffs next year.

I hope he decides to stay with NYK; he was 100% hustle (grit) this year; hope next year he improve his 15 foot set shoot and defense. He has so much potential (double double).

He’s legit I’m telling you guys the Knicks will be much better next year if we stay healthy. Tim hardaway and porzingus were huge injuries for this team and now with our two new point guards and Beasley playing like he did this year and maybe a top 10 or even 5 pick I’m liking how this team is slowing turning around and once Noah’s contract is up watch out we will find a All Star coming aboard very soon probably a small forward don’t be surprised if Kevin Durant is interested his contract is coming up soon 😉

Knicks can't afford to pay him 20 plus millions a year, and he can't play defense that means in the 4th quarter he not playing

3 days ago   ·  1
Avatar

With no solid point guard all season and a star player who got hurt before allstar break these are actually really good numbers !! Would love to keep kanter but he's gonna be costly ! We still gotta get rid of Noah contract , make sure we have money for KP and possibly another star player after next season !

Avatar

Jeff H. made a few questionable moves all season long witch may have well lead to all those close losses; Giving minutes early on to Baker, Thomas and a raw Frank to the detriment of guys like Burke and dotson was probably a mistake. Scoring is key to winning. Jeff had too many guys on the floor at times who couldn't make shots. I'm afraid that electing to sit kanter at the end of games was also one of those mistakes. Buckets we're garantee with him all season long despite his lacks in team defense. lm not sure on how to deal with kanter for next year because of all that🤷

I don't know. He can score but I'm waiting to see that next phase, that is if he has it. Like his dad has it, to turn the game around be a difference maker. Yes, he scores but then again, lots of guys do. It's that ability to change the tempo of the game that's necessary. I know that many have a bit of resentment because we paid too much to get back a player that we could've developed but simply lacked the patience or system for. Considering we don't even have the player we traded him for and didn't get the mileage we thought we would. Hopefully, if we keep him, next year he goes to the next level.... or not.

I truly hope you make yourself worthy of the 71 million you stole. Make us believers, I didn’t think you had the talent level to be a superstar from your first stint with the Knicks. Knicks are so fk'n stupid I swear. They had a chance to be the 6th worst record in the league, giving them a shot at the top draft picks in the next draft, and so what do they do? They win 3 of of the last 4 games pushing them to the 8th worst record. They just killed their odds again. They just keep doing the same fk'n thing over and over and over again and again! This was the last chance for any team to lose games to position themselves better for lotto positions to. You can't do that anymore. The rules are changing.

Honestly Management is garbage... fired him when he was in the plane... such a shame. Threat Melo like a 💩 after all he tried to do, give Noah that contract?... Offering Shumpert & JR for free at the competition... anyway i give up. Good luck

I like these guys, I think they are going to do everything they can to get the right players & coaches here. They seem very hungry to win. I feel very optimistic about the Knicks.

These 2 have already wasted a year by allowing Jeff to coach for a year knowing he wasn't who they wanted. Just a waste of a year. This is why these 2 can't be trusted.

One positive is at least we are keeping our 1st round picks now and not trading them away lol. We have some good young players that we can grow with but that Hardaway contract will end up hurting us.

Knicks might have to entertain the idea of Trading KP because as much as I like him he wants to win and if we continue to suck he will want a trade to be on a contending team.

No mark jackson please, if you think he’s a good coach you really need to google how shytty of a job he did with the warriors, his history of terrible player management is well known around the league. JVG is not coming back, dont get your hopes up. 1. Fizdale 2. Stackhouse 3. Blatt 4. A young coach from college

So here we go again. Another bozo who thinks the answer to the Knicks problem is to hire another coach. When will someone wake up and realize one of the problems with this team is there hjas been no continuity for years. We hire new Presidents, GM's and coaches every two years then we start over because the new GM's and coaches want different players to play a different style. When will this merry go round stop.

Gee. After they made an error by putting together a team that wasn’t as crappy as they had hoped they forced hornacek to make moves and bench players such as Jack and Lee to let their bums play and turn around and blame him for their losing. Coach isn’t going to matter. This organization is a joke.

The Knicks need to get back to their Pat Riley/Jeff Van Gundy hard nose, tough style but with a faster pace on offense. The best guy to bring that is Fizdale.

Jeff Van Gundy, that's if he still wants to coach. He was a great assistant coach under Pat Riley during those great early & mid 90's team. Was head coach of the team during the late 90's. A.K.A "Baby Riley" was a part of the Knicks organization during those days when the team had hands down one of the best defense in the NBA during the 90's. Right now he's a hell of a lot better than what the Knicks has had as head coach in the last 15 years.

Jay Wright, Mike Miller, Rich Pitino (Rick's son,) JVG and Ettore Messina are all much better candidates. Heck, I'd rather have Doc Rivers than Mark Jackson. Similar backgrounds, much different histories.

Mr. Scott Perry, are you sure that the fault of the bad season is only from the technical team? Would not it be time for you and your management colleagues to give way to others? I think it would be the most reasonable attitude to take! Think about it ... it is time to give the place to anyone who has, first, a true love for the team, a desire to win, and above all, have a real project for a long-term future ... of successes. This is the only way to attract true investment. Go home and think of it! So-long, fellow.😉

I have always agreed they should hire Mark Jackson. But lately I have been reading how he is extremely opinionated and combative with every conversation. One of the main reasons they couldn’t stand him in GS. If that is the case I will pass. We don’t need any help with free agents not wanting to come to NY. We got that part locked down already. Bottom line. Team needs players. Coach can only do so much.

The coach can only do so much with the personnel hes given. Sounds like Scott wants an awful lot for such a poorly constructed team. A defensive minded coach can only do so much with a defensively limited team. This job is a trap for anyone seriously considering it.

The first thing I have to say is that we won last night´s game against Cleveland because they have decided to spare some of their best "Golias". So, both teams gave to their own rookies an oportunity to show off. And curiously both Luka Kornet and Damian Dotson have been confirming their best phase, therefore, if they´re well worked out they will probably be one of the coach´s good headaches. If we take stock of this sporting season we can say that it was a real disappointment, a real disaster. Let's hope the next one is very well planned, and above all, that the acquisitions are made with true "tweezers". Now, we're left to enjoy the playoffs. May the best team win. Until next season😉😉
